Overview
Dishonored: Death of the Outsider is a stealth-based first-person action-adventure game and a standalone expansion to Dishonored 2. It was released on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 and is meant to be the conclusion to the "Kaldwin" story arc that began with Dishonored.
Death of the Outsider features Billie Lurk, who played a supporting role in Dishonored 2 as the captain of the Dreadful Wale. After the events of Dishonored 2, Billie is compelled to seek out her former mentor Daud, a Void-enhanced assassin that went missing after the first Dishonored, and in the process join him in a bold scheme to kill the Outsider: the enigmatic deity that grants Void powers to those he deems worthy, sowing chaos in the process.
Gameplay
Billie eventually acquires Void powers of her own, which are unique to her: Displace, which allows her to "blink" to a player-set marker at any time; Semblance, which allows her to shapeshift into another NPC, though the disguise quickly wears off if the player moves around too much; and Foresight, which allows Billie to astral project outside of her body and do reconnaissance of what lies ahead. A new game plus mode also adds some of the previous Void abilities from Dishonored 2, Unlike the core games, Billie doesn't need to upgrade these powers with runes (though bone charms are still useful) and her Void power regenerates on its own without the use of consumables.
